‘Tis the Season for Giving
MLS PIN Donates $120,000 to Homeless and Housing Related Charities
MLS Property Information Network, Inc., (MLS
PIN) announced its first year of a
Charitable Giving Program and in doing so
has selected thirteen homeless and housing
related organizations throughout
Massachusetts to present a total of $120,000
in donations.
The non-profit organizations were chosen by
the Charitable Task Force of the Board of
Directors, and were chosen based on the
extraordinary work and dedication they have
shown in providing shelter, affordable
housing, transitional housing programs, fuel
assistance, and counseling to individuals in
need throughout the state. Donations have
been given to Action, Inc., Aids Action
Committee’s Housing Initiative, Central MA
Housing Alliance, Citizens Energy Oil,
Community Teamwork, Inc., HAP The Region’s
Housing Partnership, Housing Assistance
Corporation, Independent Ways, Pine Street
Inn, Rosie’s Place, Salvation Army Gentle
Arms Teen Living Program, and South Shore
Women’s Center.
MLS PIN’s leadership and staff have been
quite busy visiting and presenting the
checks to the shelters and headquarters. “We
feel that our support of homeless and
housing related organizations truly
compliments the service we provide to assist
individuals and families with their search
for homes. We are delighted to be able to
work with communities in Massachusetts
toward this end,” said Michael Jewell,
Chairman of MLS Property Information
Network, Inc.
According to Kathy Condon, CEO and
President, the donations would not be
possible without the support and dedication
of the customers and staff of the multiple
listing service. “We have had a very good
year, and are pleased to give back in the
way of shelter, and housing assistance,”
Condon stated. MLS PIN has also involved
their 56 employees on a more personal level
by adopting two families in need during the
holiday season. They have set-up a giving
tree with ornaments and with their own money
will be giving gifts ranging from mittens,
blankets, toys and gift cards to local
grocery stores which will be delivered by
the Central MA Housing Alliance of
Worcester.
Most recently, MLS PIN donated $10,000 to
the Danvers Community Council Relief Fund to
aid explosion victims with temporary housing
and basic necessities.
MLS PIN is a privately REALTOR® owned
multiple listing service with more than
30,000 participants and subscribers
