Shrewsbury, MA - Carolyn Chodat, owner/broker of Classic Properties in Medway, Mendon and Milford has been appointed as Vice Chairman of the 2006 Board of Directors of MLS Property Information Network, Inc. (MLS PIN). She has been a participant of MLS PIN since its inception in 1997 and has served on the board since this time and in the capacity of Clerk of the Corporation, as well as two terms as Chairman. She was a participant of the original task force that brought the corporation to fruition and worked diligently to reach the goal of a private REALTOR® owned multiple listing service that would provide the real estate community in Massachusetts with one database, one set of rules, one form, and one state-wide lockbox system. She also sits on the corporation's Rules and Regulations and By-Laws Task Forces.
Chodat began her career in real estate more than twenty years ago. She is a member of NAR, as well as MAR, and was awarded REALTOR® of the year 2002 for the state of Massachusetts and REALTOR® of the year 2002 for the Worcester Regional Association of REALTOR®. She was also REALTOR® of the year for the Greater Boston Board of REALTOR® in 1998. She also served two consecutive terms of Presidency (2001-2002) for the Worcester Regional Association of REALTOR®. She holds several professional designations including GRI, CRS, CRB, ABRM, CIPS, and SRES.
A Medway resident, Chodat was originally born and raised in Canada, and attended the Ontario Hospital School of Nursing in Kingston, Ontario. She later moved to Massachusetts with her husband and their two sons where they have lived since 1973. She is actively involved in her community through her membership in the United Chamber of Commerce in Franklin, The Milford Chamber of Commerce, the Medway Business Council and as a Corporator of Strata Bank.
